Renowned British artist Tacita Dean took the photographs for Czech Photos (1991/2002) as a student during her stay in Prague in 1991, but she did not present the 326 photographs until 2003. As she says: “They are like the remains of Prague, which no longer exists, a kind of capsule.” This exhibition also includes the 16 mm black and white film “Ztráta” (1991/2002), whose title translates as ‘Loss’, which is an ambiguous record of a lecture at the Czech Technical University in Prague. Both artworks will be presented in Prague for the first time.
