Clarissa Thieme, who works with documentary and fictional elements in her art and tries to use this combination to reconstruct the past, is the artist behind this audio-visual performance. The video installation draws material from the Hamdija Kreševljaković Library – a collection of private video records documenting the siege of Sarajevo (1992–1995) from the perspective of the besieged. From the perspective of the artist, their only salvation is the use of a time machine by the artist. A performance always adds another time plane to an installation – one more stop on journeys through time – and this time it is 2018.
